Id like to send 2 AR-15 barrels to you guys to shorten. One is a LMT 16" .223/5.56 and the other is a Colt 16" 9mm. I would like both to be cut to 10.5 with the FSB left in place. Is the correct service just barrel threading at $65 each or am I missing something there? Also can I get the barrel "ends" that were chopped off sent back as well? Id like to have them either as paperweights or as evidence that the barrels were OEM in case I ever want to sell them. Thanks!

- Yes, $65 if you send the barrels removed from the receivers. Also, keep in mind we measure from the bolt face, so those 2 barrels will have a different OAL, with both cut to 10.5".

Yes, but put a big note in the box that you want the stubs back. We usually just throw them out.

Thank you for the reply. On the LMT, do I need to note that I want the gas port enlarged for reliability and specify a size, or is that something you do on every barrel you shorten? Also do the extra-tight LMT FSB cause any additional problems?

We open the gas port by default. Unless you tell us not to.  LMT FSBs are no problem.

Sounds good. Headed your way on Saturday!
