I am wondering which threading service I would select for a Marlin Papoose barrel.  Since the barrel unscrews from the action, and not relocating the front sight, would this job be considered the same service as the "AR15/AR10 Barrel Threading" ($65.00), or would it be the "Threading non AR15 barrels" ($140.00)?  Thanks.

I'll have to get with the shop guys. Is the front sight going to be discarded? From the picture there is not enough exposed barrel to thread with the sight in the current location.

I'm okay with losing the front sight if necessary.  There are two holes for the front sight, one beginning at 1/2" from the muzzle and the second around 1-1/4".  Only one is really necessary to mount the sight anyway.  I'm hoping at least the far one will be safe, but it's okay if it isn't.  How much, though, to relocate the sight?

Any word on this?

Yes we can do it.

Just order this under Barrel threading.

For Ruger MK X and Browning Buckmark style $140.00
Includes relocating the front sight and shortening the barrel if desired/necessary. This is for bull barrels only as shown. We do not relocate front sights on the skinny barrels.

I'm unclear -- I was asking about a rifle barrel without a chamber or action attached, without relocating the sight.  Is the Ruger/Buckmark pistol threading service still the service to choose?

If you just wanted it threaded, it would be the $65 service.

If you wanted the sight moved back, it would be the Ruger $140 service.
