Hi Adco, I have a a2 style muzzle brake that I need pinned and welded on my 16" barrel. I would like for the overall length to be exactly 16.1" when finished so the barrel will need to be shortened and re-threaded. I also want the section (step) behind the threads to be turned down so it looks like a factory 14.5"/14.7" barrel. Finally, will need bayonet lug ears removed. My questions are this:
1) How far do I need to disassemble the upper to avoid your disassemble fee? Just remove the barrel from the upper or do I have to take off the FSB and send it to you separately? 2) Will the barrel be refinished? If so, is it parkerizing and can it be done once the brake is pinned and welded so everything has the same finish and so that the weld is hidden? 3) What will the total cost be? Thanks |

The barrel needs to be removed from the receiver, we will remove the FSB for work.
The barrel is NOT refinished, we apply Cold Blue to the new threads only. We also do NOT attempt to "hide" the perm. We leave the small weld mark to "show" the perm, in case you are questioned. Cut/Thread = $65, Perm A2 = $30, Bayo Lug removal = $25, and Shipping = Actual. Total = $120 plus actual shipping (usually around $18). |

I also want the section (step) behind the threads to be turned down so it looks like a factory 14.5"/14.7" barrel. This is what I meant about the refinishing. Please let me know. That adds a Contour fwd of gas block - $65, and does include refinish. Will it be refinished after the muzzle brake is perm. attached? I want everything to be the same finish (barrel would be parkerized, my brake is blued). Thanks |
