I have a XM177E2 style upper that I purchased on the EE.  It has a Bushmaster HBAR barrel installed on an LM code A1 upper.  The flash hider looks decent (has a grenade ring and everything) and is permanently installed.  Can you lighten up the barrel without removing the flash hider?  I'd love to do a lightweight profile under the handguard and between the FSB and the "moderator" to make it closer to a real XM.

Also, I have a Colt A2 HBAR ban-era rifle that I'd like to have lightened and threaded.  Would you suggest the medium contour or the government under the handguards?  Thanks!

yeah we can contour without removing the FH. As far asthe HBAR, govt or medium contour, thats up to you. Personally id probably go with a .800 under the handguard.

Thanks!  Got a couple other barrels that have to come in for pin-and-weld jobs first, but you will be seeing this shortly.
