Hey, I'm fixing to send two uppers to ADCO to get contoured for the ops inc cans I've got coming. One question, I wasn't able to find another 16th model brake and collar, so I ordered I finally found a 12th model one and was able to get an adapter from you guys, I also went ahead and got the 16th model collar. I was thinking that I would get one upper setup for the 16th, and have one setup for a 12th, I don't have a 12th on order and don't really plan on it but hey you never know one day I might and until then I can use the 12th to 16th adapter. My question; is there any reason I shouldn't do that if I don't really plan to use it for a 12th? Should I just have it contoured for the 16th?

Also was wondering I assume its probably a good idea to go ahead and have y'all check the threads on the barrels before you contour em?

Thanks,

Unless a guy needs to do a proper spr there is no reason to get a 12th. A 14th and a 16th makes infinitely more sense.

If you are not planning on using a 12th, then there is really no reason to set-up for a 12th.

The 12th to 16th adapter works fine, it just moves the bevel farther forward. But again, why use it, if you are not going to have a 12th.

If your not getting the 12th why fuss with the adaptor?

Well that answers that

Looks like I'll stick to the 16th collar.

Thanks,
