Are shop services the same cost for LR308s as AR15 platform?
I have a 24" Flutted version. Is there a problem with shortening when it would be cut into the fluted area? Can a already fluted barrel be reprofiled? I would certainly like to keep as much accuracy as possible but these things are so freaking heavy... what are other customers doing with these barrels? |

Yes, the barrel can be re-profiled. |

Well, if it were mine, i would sell THAT barrel and buy a new one (24" barrels are not the easiest to come by). The WOA SPRr barrel is a Mid Weight 18", SS, 1:7 barrel with rifle length gas, runs $285.
If you decide to go fwd with the work, you would be looking at $160 to contour the Barrel and Thread/Cut (not including dis/re-assemble if required, or additional parts). |
