I've got a Bushmaster Predator which has no muzzle device attached. I want to send in my barrel to have it threaded 1/2 x 28. I have a Smith Enterprise Inc, Vortex G-6 flash hider that I will be using. I don't need you guys to attach the flash hider, just barrel threading only.

Can I send the whole upper? It includes the free float tube and small gas port with no front sight assy. Not sure whether you need to remove the FF tube or not for service.

You don't need the Vortex included correct?

Yeah you can send us the whole upper, We will take it apart and thread the barrel 1/2-28 for your voretx. Just order diss/reass FF ($50) + barrel thread ($65)

Does that include recrowning and do you have to take the fsb off ?

Thinking about having some similar work done... and just want to confirm... the $65 covers cutting the barrel down (say 16 to 14.7), threading 1/2x28, and crowning?

Bigbore, have you ever cut down a Varminter barrel and threaded it? Is there enough "meat" left from the fluting to thread and put a FS on?
