I don't mind waiting, but I'd like to get my foot in the door somewhere for a Mod 1, as well.

Are you taking backorders on the Mod 1 uppers? I'd like to go that route, but with a Larue Stealth upper and LT 13.2 instead of the DD 12.0 and WOA upper...

Ok, I thought I scored a barrel but the seller was on crack I guess. I'm still waiting though....

Do you know what the current wait is? I looked at the DPMS Mark 12 upper on their site––––8-12 MONTHS! The LaRue Stealth is something like 6-8 weeks.

Any idea about Adco's MK12? I don't know if it's changed since the thread started.

They're waiting on barrels. I basically have all the components.

I am still amazed that any vendor is telling customers an "estimated" wait time. We honestly have no clue. It used to be if you said 8 to 12 weeks (note, that is 2 to 3 MONTHS) you were WELL within the ballpark. Anymore, that is simply not the case.  Ask a vendor to put it in writing, and see what you get. Us vendors are on Bock Order lists, just like many customers. Just because one vendor get something, doesn't mean we all will.  Sorry for the rant, but every time i see/read/hear estimated delivery times on the hardest to get parts, i have to shake my head.

Ok then, that being said, the Mod 0 and Mod 1 can be back ordered on our site, under Complete Uppers. When we get barrels in, AND have no back orders that require us to send them right back out, we will assemble some. Till then, outlook still not good. If you find a barrel, then we might be able to assemble one for you, assuming we can get the rest of the parts. Thank you.

Last note. To all our customers patiently waiting for product that is on back order, thank you so very much. I personally know how frustrating it can be, and very much appreciate your patients and understanding.

I think that most of us out there generaly understand the fact that we are all back-orderred into oblivion.  We all just get worrind that there is some unpredictable political clock ticking and we may not ever get what we have orderred.  In my case, I have purchased all of the other parts and don't want to be caught with half a rifle I can never finish.  I think we are all just stressed out on this subjuect..... for good reason.

One question on your back orders that was not clear in your post.  When you talk about barrels vs complete uppers, I assume that all orders, regardless of type, get filled in order?  In othewords, the barrel seekers don't take priority over the guys who have complete uppers on order, creating a situation inwhich we never get uppers untill all the excess barrel orders stop coming in?

Thanks.

We try very hard to work down the list, from top to bottom. I was talking about barrels back ordered BEFORE an upper assy. We try to build the uppers if we have parts, as barrels become available (next in line). Sometimes, it does not work that way,for various reasons( mostly parts availability). All i can say is we try.

I fully understand the frustration, we feel it as well. When customers ask "Are you going out of business" because the walls are bare, makes it kinda tough. Problem is, and the reason for my rant, we cannot wave a magic wand and make parts appear, no matter how mad a customer gets.  I cannot tell you the number of times i have heard "Why don't you just order more?" Ah, if it were just that simple.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of barrel will work for the Mark 12 upper? My question is similar to the OP. If I find a barrel somewhere, will you guys build an upper around it? I guess you still have to have all the other parts, but it sounds as if the barrels are the hold-up.

Not trying to nag you or anything, I understand the problem.

Ah hah...  That is the catch 22 I was a little worried about.  As one who ordered a complete Mk12 upper and not just a barrel, it is worrisome that barrel orders that may come afterwards get filled before previous upper orders.  In the current environment, one may never have all of the parts in stock at the same time  unless they start to be set aside for particular "build" orders.  Then we get into a situation where we patiently wait for the order that can never be filled.  When I stated that I had all the parts, I meant everything but the complete upper, which I ordered from you.  Would one be better off ordering just the barrel from you first, then ordering the rest of the upper as a "shop service"?
Again, I understand the situation and I am not mad at anyone, but the situation may be more grim than I had thought.

Just a note: My comments were COMPLETELY general, and in no way directed, or slanted at anyone.

Ok:
First, You can use just about any barrel you want, our MK12's are WOA SPR, 18" , MIDs.

Second: If we have orders for the uppers we try very hard to get the built in the order they were placed. The biggest trouble we have, is when we have 10 barrel orders prior to the upper order, and only receive 5 barrels at a time (6 months or more apart). Can you see how that can make it look like we are "skipping" orders? We really are trying, which right now, is the best we can give.
