About a month ago, I put together an AR15 using an Essential Arms lower an a RRA lower parts kit. Well, the bolt catch was out of spec. At first I thought it was the lower, so I sent it off to those guys, and they fixed it. They just swapped out the bolt catches and the new one worked fine. They sent me the old one back, and I still have it.

Fast forward to today. I'm putting together another AR using an EA lower again, and a RRA lpk. This time, the mag catch is out of spec. It's extremely tight, to where it would not function properly. Any recommendations?

LPK's were ordered from Adco both times. I called Steve but didn't get an answer, so I sent him an email.

Thanks in advance.

I also posted this in the RRA Industry Forum.

ETA:  To make sure it is not the lower, I swapped out my RRA mag catch from my other EA build, and it fits correctly.

this is the first I've heard of parts not fitting.  I'd be happy to send you other parts, but if they too dont fit it wont be much help?  If you want to send me your lower, I'll make sure to send it back the same day assembled with all the proper fitting parts.

It's not my lower.  I swapped out the good RRA mag catch from my last build, which is in an EA lower, into the one I assembled today, and it fit just like it is supposed to.  Can I send you the catch in question?  I had a problem with the bolt catch on the last build, but I thought it was the lower, so I sent it to EA. They took care of it by swapping out bolt catches.

I spoke with RRA today and they are sending me a new mag catch.
