Does ADCO turn down the end of the barrel right before the threads when cutting down a 16" barrel to 14.5" like the true M4 profile? Or do they just cut the barrel and thread it, leaving no contour? I would like to preserve the genuine M4 look if possible.

Will do so if you request, but it'll run you extra for re-parking.

See the Shop Services page of the website.

Ricker, I have the 16in M4 non-chrome barrel.
I want to get it contoured under the handguard, for certain.($59.00)
And shortened to 14.5 with a Phantom FS. ($85.00)
Am I missing anything else? ($)
I will send barrel only.

Also, I notice an option to contour in front of the FSB.
Is that primarily for HBARs?
Or do some people decrease the diameter on RRA M4 barrels forward of the FSB further?
I am looking to lighten the rifle, mainly.

Thanks.

Mike,

Looks good if you're sending the barrel alone.

You won't get much weight savings by reducing the barrel dia. in front of the FSB. Not worth the cost IMHO.

You'll be impressed with the savings under the handguards, however.

I just sent in a barrel off a V22 (22lr conversion) to have the works done to it (shotrtened, m203 cut, flashhider, and FSB installed).
How hard would it be for you to attach the standard FSB.  The barrel is not currently x-drilled for the tappered pins.  Would it be easier to drill & tap a hole in the bottom of each boss in order to mount it?

My main concern is for accuracy (it's great now).
