| I have an RRA M4-gergy upper that I bought used with the faux FH pressed onto the end of a 16" barrel. Is it possible to have the fake FH removed and the barrel threaded or was too much metal taken off the barrel when they put the faux FH on it? |

They should be able to do it: ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=130&t=143516 |
Yup |
My 16" barrel with the FFH is at Adco right now and in the process of getting an A2 flash hider perm. installed. Should have it back in a few days. Maybe Steve could post a pic of it when it is finished? |
Cool! I wasn't able to search back that far (danged 30days limit on the search). I'm thinking that my upper will be taking a trip in about 3 weeks. I won't want a FH permanently installed, as I probably won't have the $$ for a FH immediately upon shelling out the dough for the threading. Is the $56 for labor + s/h or just for the labor with s/h extra? |
Damn, You guys are quick! Thanks for the excellent service that you provide. I'll keep an eye out for the package! |

Were you able to keep the barrel at 16"? I have two of these uppers that I want to have the fake flash hider removed, the barrel threaded, and an A2 flash hider installed. I don't want the barrel cut down because I don't want to lose the velocity or have to have a perm. installed flash hider. I don't care what the barrel contour looks like. I just want to know if it can be done and done right. Pics/prices would be awesome. Thanks, Steve |
