Steve,

I apologize for the questions that will follow, but I'm new to the AR world...so bear with me.

I'm sold on getting an RRA complete rifle for my first AR....thought about building my own, but I'll only do that if I can't get what I want.

Does RRA sell any different configurations than what you have listed on ADCO's website??  For instance, I'd really like to obtain a Dissipator style barrel, preferably in an M4 type design (cut).  Ideally, I want to be able to enjoy the full sight radius on an M4 barrel....or at least on just a 16" HBAR.  Another option I'd like to have is to have it Free-floated, with a basic handguard (round aluminum preferably).

Sorry for the lack of detail, but I'm still learning all of this stuff.  Can you comment further on my questions, and also possibly on the MID designs? (ie, can they be free floated from the factory, etc.?)

Many Thanks!  Can't wait to feel that NM trigger :D

Ok...I'm going to narrow down my request a bit:

Can ADCO provide a "dissipator" style or "MID" style with a Fluted 16" HBAR, on an A2 upper, free floated with a handguard similar to Bushmasters Varmint rifle??

Can the ARMS SIR system be placed on an A2 Upper??  Seems as though you need a flat-top from the pictures....perhaps I'm mistaken...

Thanks Steve!

Max,

Steve can deliver almost (if not any) configuration you'd like. I know he does fluting and mid-length options.

The ARMS SIR #51 is made for an A2 upper, but only comes in carbine length.

Steve has some RRA railed float tubes that would work, or he can custom-build a float tube with as many rails as you'd like.

His shop is closed on Mondays, but he's usually pretty quick with e-mail...[email protected].

I can do a Mid-Length, fluted barrel, A2 upper with a float tube.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
thanks

Steve,

Sorry that I'm not emailing you these questions, but I'm at work...so kindof can't.  I'll email you tonight from home with a couple of different configurations for quote purposes.

In the meantime, do you have pictures of your free float handguards?  What options would I have for twist rates and chrome lining for a MID carbine?  Is 1:7 an option?

EDIT: figured out difference between CAR & TASC :D

Thanks again for helping out the AR newb!
