I seem to be in the minority in that I actually like the finger bump in the A2 grip. However, I despise the A2 grip angle (and currently, exclusively, run K2's on all my AR's). I do like that A2 look though (it's classic). I think your K grip would look similar if you added an A2 style finger bump on the front (or at least offered it as an option). I think that would be my ultimate grip for "classic" appearance, yet having the angle I prefer. Don't get me wrong.. your K2 would still be my favorite, but holy hell those things are hideous to look at. Troy is trying that with their A3 grip (classic grip shape, but with more vertical angle... but they are mimicking a smooth front A1, not an A2 with finger bump).
I think a K grip (plus finger bump) would be the ultimate grip replacement for marrying feel with the classic looks of the A2! |

Never mind. Just tried a K grip and it's awful. It's even worse than an A2. The grip has slightly less sweep than an A2 (good), but is so ridiculously thin that it actually makes my hand cramp up even worse (bad). I wanted to keep with a "classic" look for this one build, but to hell with it... I just can NOT stand that grip angle/feel of either the A2 or the K.
I'll just stick with the K2 (hideous as hell, but absolute heaven in the hand). As ugly as the K2 is, it's still the most perfect feeling grip I've tried. |
