I took my MOE hand guard off and installed an ALG defense M-Lok rail. I grabbed a couple M-LOK T-nut replacement kits and installed my MOE VFG and a piece of pic rail. During shooting yesterday, both of them fell off. When I installed them I felt the nut turn, then I tightened the screws the rest of the way down. The pic rail had no movement in it what so ever, the VFG had a little play, which I assumed was because it didn't fit the rail very well. Did I do something wrong? Does the MOE stuff just work on the MOE hand guards? Thanks for the help in advance.

Also the kit came with short screws and some longer screws. I used the short ones.

You can't just take MOE accessories and swap out the mlok T nuts to make them mlok compatible. Besides the T nuts, mlok accessories have recoil lugs molded or machined into the part itself to fit the mlok slot. You need to buy mlok accessories for your mlok rail.

ETA-  this shows the lugs on a pic rail:

Thanks for the info. The only pic I've seen of the MOE vert. grip is straight on, so I assumed the lugs it has on top of it would fit the M-lok as well.
