I have an MBUS pro rear sight and I really like it but, the roll pin for the rear windage knob walked out. The hole for the pin is completely vertical on my rifle when sighted in and I notice the other day, while shooting that the pin had nearly completely slid out of the bottom. Has anyone else had issues with this? Is there a better fix for this than glue?

I'm not really too worried about replacing it but, I will post it over on their page to. If nothing else, they deserve to know it may be a design issue. Thanks for the idea.

I have high regard for Magpul and have a lot of their stuff.  I would contact them about the issue, which is now being reported by multiple users.  I'm sure they will make it right and make whatever production changes are needed to prevent it in the future.  Those of us who continue to prefer the extreme durability of the polymer version are not having the issue.

Please email CS and they will take care of it. We'll get the old one back and see what is going on.

As the owner of the first prototype MBUS Pros (which are still in service) and a couple dozen other pairs personally, I have not seen this issue, but we'll look into it Monday.

Thank you. I was looking more for a "Gorilla glue should hold it" kind of answer but, I guess doing things correctly might be an option too. I'll get a hold of customer service and let them know what is going on. Thanks again

Great!

I just got a set of these because I thought all of the issues with them had been sorted out.

I had heard nothing about this windage roll pin problem until I read this thread.

Just got confirmation from the Engineering dept. Issue was already identified during prior live fire testing and is being addressed.

As this is a tolerance issue with the some of the roll pins, it is not a very common issue. Anyone that has this problem crop up, contact Magpul directly and we will replace the site and cover shipping.
