A buddy is having me coach him through very first build... In  his horse trading  for parts he picked up a used ACS  stock unknown if is milspec or comercial.  He is nearly done with the parts for the build with the only thing left is the receiver extension. Since it must match the stock Is there any way to tell the difference in model or tube diameter between the two stock formats? I Have a caliper so i can measure if needed.

The easiest way to tell is if the dead-end of the tube is flat or sloped.

If you have a caliper, measure the inside diameter of the stock and match closest to the pic posted above. If that wont work, use another AR15 to test fit on that tube if if fits, or not, or too loose should tell you which it is.
