Why does the Magpul ASAP not have a tooth to engage the buffer tube and why is there an extra loop on it? The loop seems like a noise maker and would make clipping an HK clip on harder, IMHO. I figured the tooth assisted in stopping rotation?? Am I just not understanding this?

It comes with two inserts, one for commercial and one for mil-spec. ETA: The ring is for ambi purposes. It does make noise, but not to much when slung. Yup, there are two 'keys' that come with, you drop whichever one is needed in that slot during installation. I've heard of people cutting the extra loop off w/bolt cutters. You got options. |
