| What's the best solution for coupling two 20 round PMAGs? Or maybe even a 20 and a 30 round? I can't carry the rifle with a 30 rounder inserted because of size constraints, but the 20 fits just fine. |

I can try my Maglink tonight on some 20's but don't think they'll work.

Unless they've recently changed their design, those couplers are only good for the range. The coupler requires you to remove the mag floor plates and replace them with the coupler. If the coupler becomes damaged, you're stuck with keeping it on the bottom as a floorplate, unless you carry around spare floorplates with you - sure, you could do that, but why not avoid all of that and use and traditional coupler that doesn't require replacing an integral part of the magazine? ETA: You're also putting the weight of the other loaded magazine on the bottom of the adjacent magazine (instead of in the middle, like most other couplers). This will produce more moment of force on the magazine body and on the magwell of the weapon than a traditional coupler will. At the range, sure, who cares? But in competition or on a two-way range, that's not a problem I want to have pop up at the most inconvenient, unexpected time. |
