Only about 60 rounds through it. I kept getting double feeds, pulled out the mag and about 15 rounds spewed out. This happen to anyone? Think it's a bad lot of mags or just unfortunate timing?

That is not a normal failure. Send us your information and we will replace your mags just to be on the safe side.

That is not a normal failure.

As of late with FDE pmags it seems to be.
I'm sure magpul will send you a new one.

Still it's very rare to have a broken PMAG regardless of color.  There are tens-of-thousands of good Flat Dark Earth PMAGs out there for each one of these kind of forum posts...

But, as Rich mentioned, please contact us and we'll get you taken care of.

I'd like to know this too.  I only have a few FDE mags as most of mine are FG, OD, or black.

I can't tell for sure from the color saturation on my monitor, but is that OD green, of FDE?  I understand that FDE is the weakest material, with black being the strongest (due to the internal polymer chemistry and affect of the dyes).

I'd love more distinct data on that, but those who know are mum on the quantification of the differences between them.  So I don't know if that difference translates to 1/2 the strength or 999/1000 of the strength.  Nor the respective failure rates.

As others state - Magpul should replace the mag for you without issue - so I'd contact them.  Do it for the "Free" mag, but also for the customer feedback, for their product control team.  Like you said, maybe just a bad lot.

Looks FDE.
