It looks pretty close. The angled corners on the adapter vs. the squared ones on the SGA sling mount and possibly thickness are issues. Nothing some careful grinding wont fix. An ASAP plate wont work with the adapter as it does not extend below the threaded portion like an AR does. |
Touche' Magpul. It seems you have updated your SGA mount to be proprietary to your shotgun stock. Based on the new pic of the sling mount you removed all excess material so it wont fit the channel of the Mesa stock adapter. I dont think you would be saving on weight as that small amount of materiel is maybe half an ounce, or saving on metal as you have to machine out that part anyway. I am still up to the challenge of dremeling out my Mesa adapter though...
