Does anyone have a list of all the "commands" used in the Magpul Carbine classes?

Oh my.

In his defense, I've taken some classes where some of the communication is cumbersome and hard to say under duress.

For example "Check"....."Ok"....."READY!" is easy to say and easy to understand. Some of this crap (much of it from the LEO community) is like a tongue twister. YMMV.

Aint that the truth!  Not to mention our firearms training in my state is a complete and total joke!  Stand stil fire fire fire, behind barricade fire fire then stand and fire more.  Don't teach shooting and moving, prone, urban prone or how to effectively move and engage.

I applaud Chris and Travis for simplifying things

I think some of the people around here forget that they actually hold courses, not just make dvds.  It might be good to study up on the commands a little before hand if you're planning on attending one.

They likely will go over the commands, call outs, and other procedures when you need them. It's best not to come to a class with bad habits.

Didn't say you shouldn't practice, after you know how and when to use specific call outs. But you may not know the exact details of why, and when to use those commands, like cover, moving/move, check, ready, et al.

But you shouldn't practice up for a specific class, unless you are a previous alumni, and already know when and why you are doing that specific task (assuming that you haven't already worked it into your TTP).

Normal range commands like hot range, cold range, gas 'em up, bust 'em, et al. Are not something you are going to practice because they are instructional commands. You will figure them out, you don't need to practice them.

/my two cents, worth exactly what you paid for them.

Neither its an industry partner forum, and so the industry partner gets to mod it, not you.
