DF_Chad,

That my friend,,,IS the Question!

That Un-Obtainable Unicorn is Most Chased After, the 'Super Model' that is ONLY In Reach to a select few who are willing to Risk, Sell, Give All in that one Brief Moment She Is Available!

Good Luck Going After That White Whale,,,

They can be had - you would just need to convince somebody who already has one that they need your small mountain of cash more than their need their lower.

MagPul has plenty of other stuff they're working on, though I'd certainly get one of those as well - with the ambi bolt and a Norgon catch, it's an ambidextrous unicorn!

they've already stated multiple times that it's too much of a legal liability that they [Magpul] don't wish to deal with. the lowers that sold as complete rifles had a special waiver from the insurance firm.

As Bugs would say, That's all (there ever will be) folks!

Common folks can have one. They just had to buy the whole rifle.

Minus the other 700 or so that are spose to be some place.

Magpul is smart I would think they have or are looking into selling the lower design to somone. In exchange for a small profit or to profit from each lower produced.

The lower probley wouldnt say Magpul but it would still be a very nice lower.

There is a thread floating around the net somewhere, I believe on M4carbine.net, where the owner of Magpul stated that the only Magpul lowers being released are those being sold through Noveske as complete rifles (approx. 50 total).

According to the owner of Magpul, their insurance company hasn't authorized them to sell lowers... therefore, they do not plan on releasing the rest of the lowers they have made anytime in the near future. I believe he also stated that the lowers weren't very cost effective for them to produce, also making future production unlikely.

If you google for the thread, you can probably find it.

Probably on a shelf waiting for the next ubber-elite offering/collaberation project.

There were something like 900 made. At releases of 60 or so at a time, and for the off the wall prices they command, these offerings will probably trickle out over a protracted period of time...but thats just my guess.

I'll add that the lowers ARE TIGHT! I had to use the tip of a pmag cover to help get that take down pin started!

The MPL rocks Drake... you guys did some fine work on that lower.

okay so i just left scottsdale gun club about an hour ago and i am still trying to put myself back together! HAD HER IN MY HANDS! $3399 noveske with magpul lower and vltor mur never thought i would be able to see this unicorn in person the sws rail was top quality as well just thought it would have looked better with a larue buttt we know how that song goes! The magpul lower was a true piece of art unlike any lower i have ever held smooth amazing finish with no sharp edges everything was fully ambi with the exception of the safety selector not why that was but non the less tier 1 piece of kit!

Didn't I read somewhere Magpul's insurance doesn't allow them to sell the lowers.  Maybe they can license the design to another manufacture.  This way they receive royalties and we have an opportunity to own one of these lowers.

Man I seriously wish they would at least sell the design to some company so they could make them.  Even if it has some other company's logo on it.  I just mainly want that lower just cause of the design features, it's beautiful.
