Hi Magpul,
I've been supporting you guys for a while and am now setting on enough PMAGS for me to ride out the incoming POTUS. It seems many aren't as fortunate. I'm curious to hear how many mags you're currently making a day, not to pin you down or anything but just to hear how many of them are leaving the door every day. |

Dr.Drake, I already know you don't hand out production numbers. But i'm curious if you changed the specs at all in the latest production batches? I have a couple mags from 9/08 that needed help to drop free from my POF rifle.
The latest batch of mags I got from 10/08 drop free with zero problems? Is this just a batch variance or did ya'll tighten things up a touch? Thanks |
| how ever many they are making its not enough. noone has them in stock. but then noone has anything EBR in stock. obama just might jump start the economy with fear before he even gets in office! lol. And I'm sure He'll take credit for it if it does. god I hate that guy. |

As someone stated we do not talk inside info in an open forum. Not a good buisness pratice. That said we do make a lot. And by a lot I mean a lot. How's that for dancing around the Q.
Every PMAG we make every day ships out every day. There is no word to describe how hard we are working to make as many as we can prior to new legislation. |

Not that I didn't believe Drake in the first place, but I talked with someone at Brownells who stated that they are getting daily shipments of pmags. Where my backordered mags fit in all this is another question entirely...
Thanks for all the hard work Magpul... |

For the record, it was 1,000's a week.
Another thread stated, "thousands a day." ETA - OOps, I need to be corrected... It was tens of thousands a week, which would logically translate to 1,000's per day. SOURCE |

Just wondering if thers orders being filled ? We have thousands of PMags being made daily. All these mags ship out within 24 hours to dealers around the country. Best thing to do is to get on a back order list and you will probably get them before the year is out. |

You forgot to provide a link to the source.

I didn't forget the source. As if I'd make up a post to look like it was written by Magpul. In their own fourm no less
But just for you: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=124&t=166288 Fifth post down. ETA: spelling |

Magpul can produce all the mags they want...but it ain't gonna stop the "dealers" form hoarding them back in stockpiles untill after anti 2nd legislation is passed... Hording actually hurts retailers because they have to pay the tax on inventory at the end of the year. Better to sell it off now and use the money to buy more inventory and pay the employees. Most people who are buying a 'quantity' of PMags are buying them for themselves. However if the economy gets worse, we may see cheap sales on NIB PMags from private sellers. Same thing happened with housing speculators and more recently with oil speculators. |

Uh, tax on 14.95 mags at the end of the year is shit compared to the post ban value of mags which will be in the ball park of 30 to 40 dollars a mag. They aren't going to ban oil or houses, just guns and high capacity magazines. ETA: I know of at least one FFL/SOT dealer who plans to get out of the business altogether once a AWB passes as it won't be profitable in his eyes anymore. He'll be sitting on thousands of mags and plans to dole them out at much inflated prices. |

name names of people/buissness that need to be avoided for such practices. although this thread isnt the place for that.
I am glad that magpul is around pumping out lots of what people want. I just hope I can get another set or two of baddass magpul furniture for my ar10/15 and maybe a Mbus or two. :) also how about a magpul MOE handguard in middy! |

I think a "opportunist/gouger" thread would be a great idea. Maybe post it in general firearms discussion. I know any dealer I see pulling that shit loses my business. It would be nice to see exactly who's all doing it. |
