since the masada operates on a gas piston system, will magpul make a gas piston system for the AR?

| One of the reasons the Masada came to life was that the AR platform was not built for a piston op system. The Masada is a rifle built around its operating system, not the other way around. As for now we have no plans to incorperate the Masada piston to the AR platform. |
People... leave MAGPUL alone and let them build the MASADA!!!   Seriously, if you want a piston conversion, try the Shrike conversion kit or contact LWRC... I think they make a conversion. POF makes piston uppers as does Bushmaster (which I think are POF or part POF). I had the chance to fire both the H&K (in .mil capacity) and the LWRC (fellow contractor) and to be honest, for the money... get a LWRC upper. I might do another build soon with a LWRC piston upper with a Noveske Infidel barrel. Anyway, the point is, MAGPUL doesn't NEED to do a piston conversion because there are already several makers out there doing them now and MAGPUL would better serve their time building my MASADA!
