I will be heading to the desert here pretty soon. Don't want to go into detail for obvious reasons.

But I was wondering if any of you guys who have already been can suggest what to bring.

Needs lots more info. What is your task and purpose, which desert, length of deployment, etc etc etc.

Based on your post, take a hat and water.

Pack light, pack light, and pack light.

Both A-stan and Iraqistan are not the same desert they were 6 years ago. There are Walmart size PXs on some of the Mega FOBs.
