My adventures in the army continue

Christmas exodus is coming up and since I am stuck in TRADOC I am trying to get home for Christmas. I currently only have 5 days (should have 7.5 by the end of Christmas) of leave since I only accrue leave on active duty (I am National Guard). However, on my LES in the use/lose section, it says I have 14.0 days. I've looked online trying to figure out what it means. I've only been on active duty for two months and I am on orders until late Feb. I don't have any other leave from any other time saved up and I am confused as hell as to what the 14.o days is from or what it means. I'm going to ask on Monday but I need to have my leave request for Christmas Exodus filled out by TUES and I'm trying to get ahead of the game. Is this some sort of mistake they've made on my LES?

your LES is like a paper turned in by a kid in grade school. you will always be grading it and making corrections.
just my take on LES

You really should talk to your platoon or drill sergeant. Why go to a message board when they have the answers for you?

Can't be emphasized enough.

Figured I would ask here since I'm on pass right now for Thanksgiving and I won't be back at the classroom till Monday. Didn't think it would hurt to ask here. I've asked other admin questions here and I've gotten some valuable help.
I fully plan on talking to the S1 and/or the NCOIC back at the schoolhouse when I get back.

I suppose I only perpetuate the "can't spell lost without LT" stereotype

When I was mobbed as a Reservist to Iraq there was a place on my LES where it showed how much leave I was expected to earn based on the length of my orders.  Are you in OBC? Fourteen days sounds about right for what you would earn in an OBC.

Yes, I am in OBC. 14 days does sound about right... Never even thought about that. Now, I wonder if they'll let me take rhose days in advance... I'll never use the ones after Christmas anyways and I'd rather take the days off then lose them.

I went to FA OBC in 96-97; they advanced us those days for Christmas Exodus.
