I was in the guard for the 6 years guard/2 year IRR deal. I got back from overseas and went into IRR after a few drills. I went to my last drill, I didn't sign any paperwork or anything, and that was about it. My IRR period isn't complete until next year. Was I supposed to fill out some paperwork somewhere after my last drill? What steps, if any, should I take to ensure a proper separation? I'd call the unit, but the battalion was completely reorganized under new officers and a new MOS after we got back, and I'd be surprised if they had any of the paperwork on us that were in the unit before. I don't think anyone there even knows me now. Plus I don't want to get in touch with them if I don't have to. Any info? |
