We just have to have a thread going.
I love Currywurst.

You needed to get out more back then. Currywurst was not limited to Berlin only.

The german brats that you can't get over here. Mmmmmmmmm. or Al Molinos for Italian food. Tony's Imbus that was right outside the gate, Al's was across the street from Andrews.

I remember Al's.  I spent some time at Andrew's when I was on the rifle team and we stayed there instead of McNair because it was easier to keep our match stuff there.

Quib, I'm in AZ but have many relatives in the Sterling area, and I'm nearing retirement, what the chance of an old Scout coming for dinner some time?

Maybe some day if and when Frau Quib opens her German restaurant. Cooking is in her blood! Her mother cooked in their family owned gasthaus!

I was there durig the LaBelle's incident and Major Nicholson's murder. Other than those two things, great times.  Racing my VF110C up and down the Ku'Damm at night.  Picking up girls at the Ku'Dorf.  Well, only at first. It got to be too easy.  Started hitting up the Eierschale and the biker hangouts on the Ku'Damm.
I went back on my three day pass from Afghanistan in '03.  The east is better than the west now. Alexanderplatz is the place to go these days

Me too, considering what it was like when we were there. Al's is still in business too by the way. One of the Berlin groups some have recently been back. On Andrews some things have been demolished, and some buildings are still there. There is now a hotel on Andrews though. Not sure when we plan on going back though.
