BS.

I live with two scout snipers, both have been to school, one is the Plt Sgt of STA.  Both said your buddy is a jackass.  He may have been in STA PLT, but actually going to school?  No friggen way.  STA only receives 2-3 slots a year for 30+ Marines, and you can be sure that a Corpsman won't be getting one of those slots, Corpsman aren't shooters.

It would be against the Geneva Accords for an HM to be actively looking to kill people. Corpsman are only SUPPOSED to light folks up that are endangering the corpsman or a patient in the care of the corpsman. How do you know he was a Navy Corpsman? If he would lie about one thing he would lie about another! Ask him where he went to school and what his NEC is. Even if he did not go to school after A school he still has an NEC. If he was with the USMC he will tell you he is 8404 .I still remember my class # after 19 years so maybe he does too. SS

If he was or is in Recon he could've been to sniper school since he's assigned to a team & gets the same training his Marine counterparts get. Recon corpsman duties aren't just doc related in the teams. It's been a long time but last I knew corpsman are the only Navy personell allowed into the Recon community. It's possible he was, but hard to tell just from the info in your post.
