I saw the following Mission Statement while at the Airlift/Tanker Association convention earlier this week: "Responsible for program execution to develop, acquire, field, and modernize capabilities; and support for life-cycle management of the mobility portfolio to address requirements for the Mobility Air Forces". Can anyone tell me what that says in English?

Sure "Responsible for program execution to develop, acquire, field, and modernize capabilities; We Rebuild/Repair stuff. and support for life-cycle management of the mobility portfolio to address requirements for the Mobility Air Forces". And watch the old crap to see if they will still work like they used to. |
LOL well put. |
Some field-grade officer . . . you would have gotten something closer to the latter from me . . . but that is why they don't let 2LT's play with the enlisted while unsupervised. |
Yeah, must be it. Seriously, unlike the current trend in corporate organizations for buzz-word filled "mission statements" each word in the above has a specific meaning and purpose. It would be a good ides for a new 2LT to learn this stuff. It is no different than knowing the difference on the tactical level between "securing," "seizing," "clearing," or "occupying" objective. Just because the words are often used interchangebly by civilians, does not mean they mean the same thing. |

I like this one To enhance the presence and response capabilities of the world's premiere maritime security force and maintain a heightened vigilance throughout the National Maritime Transportation System. To employ dedicated teams to interdict and neutralize potential threats with a force possessing unique skills, capabilities, and expertise to perform a broad range of port security and harbor defense missions, both domestic and foreign. To detect and intercept criminal or catastrophic events well before they threaten our shores by providing an integrated force that will guarantee our internal and external security. This unparalleled law enforcement presence will protect vital national interests and infrastructure. |
OK, THOSE are all bullshit. The first one was legit. |

To employ dedicated teams to interdict and neutralize potential threats with a force possessing unique skills, capabilities, and expertise to perform a broad range of port security and harbor defense missions, both domestic and foreign This is pretty much the only part that isnt |
