With my browser (internet explorer) can't haven't been able to get AKO to open in a few days. Any ideas? Did I change something without knowing it? Is it down?

Thanks

It must be on your end, I've been able to access it with no problems.

They did do a redesign of the site, that may have something to do with it.

I had that problem on one of my laptops, but I had no problem with my two other computers, you need to down load 128 bit enscription.

I'm in Yuma for training and I'm on an interet connection on post, other can open it. My laptop opens it at home, but something has changed. I can't open any .mil pages.

weird. I'm not a computer guy so I don't know much about all the settings.

I'm not getting the you are about to enter a secure site warning. Could something on my computer be blocking that?

Are you allowing pop-ups?

I can't remember whether AKO uses them or not.

Can anybody else access AKO where you are, I know that on the base I work at, the DOIM has blocked so many sites that it is hard to get things done sometimes.

Yes I turned off my security and pop up blocker, but nothing. Yes guys next door are getting AKO.

I guess I just won't talk to my unit for a few weeks!

AKO is working fine.

The above suggestion about checking your encryption strength is needed.  In IE, click on "help", then "about".  It will tell you what your cipher str is.  You should have 128.

When you are trying to open any mil page and  a warning comes up about "entering a secure site", click ok.
