I was stationed at MCAS Tustin, there were other questionable paint jobs on the birds when I was there.

Very real, when I was in Liberia and Serria Leon, we saw CH53's with a Pantera record album cover copied in the camo.

Things are different when deployed...one of the sad things about the internet and the media is that the Marines have lost the privacy they deserve when deployed.

It's real.

It was taken during GW1. Sgt. Jeff Gottlob of HMH 466 (now retired Gunny) was the crewchief and was responsible for the paint job.

I applaud him as that is quite possibly the greatest camo design I've ever seen...perhaps it will replace the MARPAT.

Nice - I need to send those pics to my brother.  He just got his wings down at Pensacola and is up at Cherry point now to train on CH-53's.
