Private First Class Nathaniel E Detample
A Co 1/111th IN 56th SBCT 28th ID
Born on 2 Jan 1986 in Morrisville, Pennsylvania
Died on 9 Aug 2005 in Bayji, Iraq

Nate didn't mobilize with us because he was just graduating high school. He just showed up one day in May as a replacement. You ever see one of those kids in the military and you wonder to yourself if his mother knows what he is doing? That was Nate. Great kid though, he fit in well.

Nate died one night when his HMMWV struck an IED, along with 3 other men. He wanted to be a police officer, like his father, after he graduated college.

On Memorial Day, please remember Nate and the hundreds of thousands of young American men and women who have given their lives while in the service of our nation.

Dear Father, please rest the soul of these fallen warriors.
Please comfort and send thy Peace, that passeth all understanding, and thy Comfort to their families and loved one.
Let them all know of the humble thanks and gratitude of a heartbroken and grateful nation for their sacrifice, and for our freedoms.
In the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Thanks for posting that Stryker.

I'll pass that prayer along to my pastor.  Unfortunately I think that he needs a reminder of what Memorial Day means.

Thank you
