In for the win. Infantry any day of the week. However that 13F with a Ranger option may be a viable option if Infantry is unavailable, although it rarely is. Quoted:

Get a Ranger contract. All Ranger medics are SOCM qualified. That will certainly set you up for something on the outside. Quoted:

Now my current job rocks I do Investigations for a very unique company but need to DO something else....so these were available. I'm a 25U, why would you think of 25Q or 25L? Stay away from L, TCN's and contractors lay cable when deployed. You would be a detail bitch. Laying Cat 5, RJ-11 and T-Foca is a common 25 series task in signal, so don't do it just for cabling experience. According to the E5 25Q we just got in our unit they were pimped out on details all the time as well. If you are thinking signal, go 25B, 25N, 25S, 25U. C, F, L, P are going away. You can't get D or E until you're E5 (p). If I had it to do over again, I'd go N or S (I'm scheduled to reclass to N next year anyways). |
| I started my Army career as an 11B, got out for five years, and when I reenlisted, there were a limited number of options available. Out of those, I chose 13F, and enjoyed it for the most part. It's about as close as you can get to being a grunt without a blue cord on your shoulders and crossed rifles on your lapel. |

Their job is to fill open slots. If you really want 11B hold out til you find it. If you are in a hurry to enlist then pick whichever one you will enjoy the most. |
