My father served 1951-1954 in the USAF in Europe.  He passed away in 2003.  I'm looking for the correct unit patch for a shadow box for my son, who is named after him.  Luckily he saved all his orders in a binder, so I've been able to follow his movements.  Pretty neat.  He served in the 1037th Auditor General Squadron, 1030th Auditor General Group.  He left the service in 54 with a rank of Staff Sergeant.  He traveled all over Europe and North Africa conducting audits.

Anyone know if Auditor Generals had unit patches?  Google is not finding anything for me.
Thanks in advance.

that particular unit may have had it's own patch, but you may not be able to track it down if it was a smaller unit. However, there is likely a high echelon unit that it was part of (group, wing, NAF, etc).

Yeah, I wondered about that.  The 1030th Group appears to have been responsible for multiple squadrons.  My father was with the 1031st Squadron in NJ before shipping overseas to the 1037th.  If I can't find anything, would the USAFE patch be appropriate?
