| i recieved a W2 or a 1099 (dont remember which) for travel. i got it a week ago and misplaced it. ive been out of the service since 2010 and cant log into mypay. i went 45min on the dfas "help me commit suicide line" and still couldnt get ahold of a person.. does anyone know how i can get ahold of DFAS so i can get a replacement tax form? |

It is a Miscellaneous/Travel W-2; do you have a phone number for your old unit? The MyPay website directs all questions to your unit's finance section. I would start there. |

Right- but your last unit's finance section had to initiate the pay action. Even though you received the payment in APR11, the action was initiated in NOV10 (when you were still in) by the unit. |

Done by the unit or post finance? I'm in the middle of clearing for a PCS but the briefings are the same. Fill out a form and submit to the finance desk/central clearance. If there is a hail/farewell center at the post you left, give them a call. |
