I was trying to figure out my size and got the chest measurement but can't figure out the sleeve/length sizing. For example what order is the chest/neck/sleeve measurements on this label?

I was thinking chest,length, sleeve?

Sounds about right, but I think it's chest, sleeve, length, since most coats are still longer in the body than the arms.

Thats what I was thinking after looking at some fire-dex charts(they only list two #'s). I have not seen any 35" sleeves before.

I have no idea what the label is for, but my sleeve length in inches is 35.

Anyone ever see a turnout coat marked 40/28 for a size? 40 is the chest but is 28 the length or sleeve? 28" sleeve seems damn short for a 40 chest.

ETA- label was on a proximity suit

Is it not a waist size?  28 seems resonable for a waist size for someone with a 40 inch chest.

I thought it was sleeve length at first but waist size would make more sense. I'll just have to wait and find out.

Yup, it's chest size, coat length, arm length.  Chest size measure around the chest, coat length from the top of the collar to the bottom of the back of the coat, and arm length measured like a shirt.
