I need a police officer to contact apple in regards to a stolen iphone. Here's the story:

Someone stole my jacket a while ago from a bar I was at with a few coworkers. They also stole my iphone, as it was inside my jacket.
This was back in February I think...

Fast forward to Tuesday night -
I tried to download a song on my iphone, and it said I had to update my billing information. My CC # was correct, my expiration date was correct, but the field for the CCV# was empty, and the address and phone number listed on my billing information was completely wrong. It listed a completely unknown address, and the city was listed as Shreveport, LA (where my jacket was stolen) Shreveport zip code, and a Shreveport area phone number. I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I updated my information, and now I have no idea how to get that old info. MAJOR FAIL on my part.

Basically, Apple, or itunes, will not give me any of this information. They say that a law enforcement officer would have to call them and give them  the full name and address (including zip code) under which the iPhone is registered.

I have a new iphone now, but I still have the ID number for my old iphone. I would really prefer it if someone here would look into this for me, as I don't think the local Bossier city P.D. is going to be all that concerned with tracking down my stolen phone.

They must have been trying to buy stuff using the CC number on my itunes account, but like a COMPLETE IDIOT, they put their info in.

I'm from Plano TX, but working here in the Shreveport LA area. If any of you are in the Shreveport area...well...that would be awesome!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You're most likely better off calling Shreveport PD and explaining everything to them.

Roboman is correct.  I could not, for example, get involved officially since I don't work anywhere near that area and it would not fall under my legal authority or jurisdiction.  We all have to be careful about using our official authority when it isn't warranted.  It can get an LEO in hot water.

Exactly. Call the dept where you were at when it was stolen and make a report.

Just another +1 to what everyone else has already posted but also to include that identity theft is a big problem these days and I wouldn't think that the local PD would take that lightly. Better yet, get your credit card company involved as well since they were fraudulently attempting to use your credit card.

Also, I don't know if I'd want my current info on the website or where ever it is if the BG has access to it as well. I mean, how else would you explain the errant address info if they couldn't access that same section as well.

Whatever you decide, good luck.
