In the winter here, if the car is obviously totalled and is well of the interestate the State Patrol wraps crime scene tape around them and leaves 'em sit in the ditch until daylight/the storm is over. I've gotten phone calls about rollover crashes that "Just happened" and the cars are covered in a couple inches of snow since they have been sitting for most of the day.  |
