I would like to know if anyone has experience with either the Thomas ALS Ultra pack or R&B Fabrications #375 Mega Pack. I have used an own some good ones, but I need a General Purpose pack. Any pros/cons on either of the two listed is greatly appreciated. If Blackhawk would make the STOMP able to carry O2 I'd be set. Thanks for your input.

I have no experience with those bags but I have had good luck with Conterra.

Thanks for your response and the Link. I like some of their small packs, like the intubation and the velcro accessory rings.

What are you looking to carry in your bag, do you need backpacking capable?  Are you looking to carry an oxygen tank?  Does your kit need to be set up for one patient or multiple patients?

The pack must be back-pack capable and strong. Being able to treat multiple Pts is a must.
My current pack carries; 1-jumbo-D w/ regulator and FROP, BVM w/tubing, 2-non-rebreather masks, 1-nasal cannula, OPAs and NPAs, 2-IV kits with 2-1000ml bags ea (Lacted Rings & .9% Sodium Chloride, 2-SAM Splints. 2-C-Collars that are 4-position adjustable, 1-stethoscope, 1-B/P, gloves and safety goggles, 4-6" Israeli battle dressings 2-4" Israeli battle dressings and 2-8" abdominal Israeli battle dressings, 2-6" kerlix roll, 4-4" ACE wraps, various forms for write-ups, 1-padded drug kit w/disposable nebulizer, Nitro tabs, Oral glucose, ampules of Epi (1mg ea), syringes and needles w/2-SHARP shuttles, 1-manual suction device (Ambu), Activated charcoal, 250ml normal saline for irrigation, 6-sterile 4 x 4" gauze, Patroleum gauze and 4 x 4" Burn-jel gauze, ACS-quik-clot sponge, 1-Asherman chest seal, 1-MAT Tourniquet, 1-roll of Coban, 1-space blanket and 2-instant hot packs. That's pretty much it.

The Extreme pack is definitely back-packable,

and that is a Jumbo D in the first photo.
Here are some more pics of the yellow extreme set up an an ALS bag, this bag is used by one of the local FDs as their trail bag.

I did not realize the Extreme was that big. The pics on the Boundtree site are deceiving. It's also narrow enough to fit through scuttles. Thanks for your input!

Yes she is big.  If you decide to get one look at Patroller supply.  They have the best prices for Conterra, and if you sign up as an agency you get better pricing.
