While I was living outside the US, I got certed as a PADI Rescue Diver to include EFR I&II. Well, the First Aid portion of the class was kind of a sideshow to start with, and I'm concerned I didn't retain anything much useful, so I'd like to take some remedial training. My objective is to be able to approach an accident or health emergency and be confident that I'll know what I can do to help and how to do it. I thought Red Cross would offer something along those lines but I don't find anything regarding EFR training on their website. I did find Emergency First Response dot Com, and they do have instructors in my area, but I know nothing about them. So are there other options besides Emergency First Response dot Com, or are they the mother church? Any other recommendations? |
