We have bought the blade tech training barrels for our duty guns to use in some training senarios. I was thinking of putting together a lesson plan to be conducted in a class room to work on reloading, dry fire, one handed manipulation, etc. The problem is with empty mags you would be locking the slide back. I have seen the "blue gun" training magazines but was wondering if ANY body had made some "dummy"mags out of old mags or 10 rounders for this type of training???

Any comments are welcome.

Take the followers and springs out of the mags.

you can always use the gun barrels and get some dummy rounds for the magazines. just make sure the person in charge checks all mags and barrels at the door.

I've used the Blue C.R.T.C. weighted mags for training over the last several years. Much better than taking the followers out, IMHO.
