| My department is in the process of transitioning from Glock22s to Glock 37s (45GAP). I am ok with the idea. The GAP actually shoots great. Our holster for years has been the Safariland 295. A few years ago we started issuing a G&G. In a word it SUCKED. Snaps would break, the draw was weird, and retention was compromised. Many complaints ensued. Anyway, today the insructors went to pick up our new guns and holsters. What do you think the holster was? A d@^% , piece of S&^% G&G. To say I was dissapointed is an understatement. To save a $$, the troops will have to carry a compromised piece of equipment. Anyone want a cheap lefty 295? |

The city department in my county had the same issue with G & G several years ago. Never did get it resolved until they just bought new ones. Of course they were carrying S&W Sigmas at the time, so the holsters were the least of their problems.... "Still training Sheepdogs, one puppy at a time." |

We also use G&G. Crappy holsters in my opinion. What I don't understand is, I searched some local online copshops and found Safariland duty holsters to actually be less expensive than the G&G holster I'm issued. So it's not a cost issue. I suppose G&G offers a big discount for bulk department orders, but I'm willing to bet Safariland does too. Another example of my dept. issuing inferior equipment for unknown reasons. |
