CB Radio > Brothers Of The Shield

I miss my old CB radio for daily patrol. It made it easier to work tactically. It seems to have gone the way of the horse and buggy. Everyone uses Nextel (except me, don't like them).

Any of you guys still use a CB?

No. For that I have a cell phone and a FRS radio. CB's dead, just like Ham Radio is.

Are you talking about a CB radio like the truckers use or are you talking low band or 800 MHZ systems?

We use the low band radio and nextel phone. helps elimenate traffic over the radio.

Negative. Ham radio is alive and well. It is versatile, cheap, easy, and self-sufficient, requiring nothing more than a battery.

I use a cb once in a while. I have one mounted in my unit so I can tell the bull truck drivers to come back to me. That way some darn bull doesnt pee or poop all over my uniform as I walk up to the truck.

Our dispatch actually listens to channel 9.

I've gotten exactly one run out of it. It was a 100% false report.

I dont know whos telling you I sleep all day but who ever it is they need to lay off the crack. I get maybe 4 to 5 hours sleep each day or night depending on what shift I work. I get very little sleep because of all the day time noise around my house. If im lucky I might get 6 or 7 hours sleep on my days off. You of all people should know that. LOL You goof ball
