SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- An off-duty sheriff's deputy was injured early Friday when a pipe bomb was thrown through the front window of a Sacramento house, officials reported. Police and fire officials were called to a home on Y Street in Oak Park following a report of an explosion just after 4 a.m. The deputy, a resident of the home, was taken to University of California Davis Medical Center for a foot injury, authorities said. Police said they do not know a motive for the attack and were unsure if it was an intentional attack on a law enforcement officer. |
He is. Thrown through his bedroom window. Some small shrapnel wounds to his body, deaf in left ear and currently in surgery for his foot. Per a friend, he heard the glass break and barely had time to react before it detonated in his bedroom. |

i really want this guy to be caught but its going to be interesting how hes treated if they do. The attacker probably choose the victim based on his profession, and then he was even cowardly enough to attack the officer AT HOME, where the mans family may have been present. I think attacking an officers family just because hes a cop is probably the most evil thing that a person could do. Also if i had to guess, this guy probably wont get treated too well by the police when hes caught, and unfortunately I also worry that he might get treated like a hero when he goes to prison. |
Hope he gets well soon. Keep us posted on his recovery and dispostion of the case. |
You guys actually found him? He didnt get "lost" in the tundra? |
