Ok, I'm finishing up my application for our country detention center, and I have a few questions. Of course, the application asks if you've ever been convicted of any misdemeanor, felony, or violations(include traffic and moving violations) as an adult. I've had 3 tickets since I was 18(actually my only 3). The first ticket was for speeding, doing 68 in a 55, the second was for improper passing and no seatbelt, and the third was for expired tags and no proof of insurance(forgot my new card). It's been over 3 years since the last ticket and as of right now I have a clean driving record. Ok, so heres why my questions come in. On the application it says: "If yes, list below. A conviction includes any fines paid, jail sentences, probation served, or traffic schools attended.(omit parking tickets). Conviction of a crime or moving violation is notan automatic rejection. The specific situation will be reviewed. Failure to disclose or falsification of a conviction including those which have been merged can result in automatic rejection of the application." Under this is asks for offense, date, county/state, and disposition. My first question is what do they want for disposition? And under offense am I just supposed to put traffic ticket? Or am I supposed to write out what the ticket was for(like speeding, no proof of insurance)? I went to traffic school for my first ticket so I wouldn't get points put on my licence, where would I put that, offense, disposition? Oh, and on my third ticket it was thrown out cause I showed proof of insurance and tags, so I didn't have any fines to pay. Thanks for the help. |

Under OFFENSE... write out the actual charge. Under DISPOSITION... write out what ever it was that you had to do, such as "paid $50.00 fine", "Completed drivers improvement school", "submitted to roadside ass-whooping", etc. If you don't know the exact dates/locations... simply contact your State's Drivers License Bureau and request a COMPLETE driving history. All you have is nit-noid driving stuff, don't even think about leaving any of it out. |
| So for example, my first ticket was for speeding. So for the offense I'd put speeding, and under disposition I'd put paid fine, went to traffic school. And the ticket I got for no insurance and expired tags, all I did was show proof of insurance and my new tags and they dismissed the ticket. Ok, thanks alot. |
