Any LEO's having problems with the X26 taser holster cracking/breaking that is provided by Taser International? Half of our officers are reporting that the plastic supports on the back where the duty belt goes through are cracking/breaking. Officer safety issue if you ask me!! Any ideas or suggestions on replacement aftermarket holsters? Our chief has already told us no thigh rigs or sort as replacements. A website would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

We are forced to use these holsters as well and they have been breaking at all different points. We're trying out a new type but these are not very secure. If I could talk them into it I would use one of these. www.safariland.com/products.asp?id=308 |

Yes, the stock holster is TERRIBLE. The snap was a huge pain to get undone, and eventually just broke off. The Safariland's are very slick, but they have a belt loop system (similar to those on their newer holsters) which has a very big footprint on your belt. (This isn't really depicted well in the photo at the link above. The belt loop sections are now a hard plastic instead of the leather loop and extend approx. 1-1.5 inches beyond the holster on either side.) I don't have much room on my belt, and the Safariland took up too much real estate, so back to the crap-box Taser original. Good luck. |
We use the X26 Taser. I bought a Gould & Goodrich K350 after T&Eing it. This is the best and most comfortable Taser holster I have ever used. It sits high on the belt (dones not go lower than my mag pouch). I love this holster and will never go back. The pic. is of the M26. The X26 Holster is much smaller and better looking. I picked up one of their double air cartridge pouchas as well. The loop on the back alows you to have it sit high or low on the belt. What ever you need.![]() www.gouldusa.com/catalog/showModel.php?modelID=201&gunID=00538&gunMan=TASER&gunModel=X26 |

taser international has a couple of holsters.. the skeleton one is crap, there is a another one they make with a rotating hood called the blade-tech tek-lok holster which is much better. www.taser.com/law/product_info/accessories02.htm its more durable, easier to draw, and has anyone had to one handed re-holster a X26 with the exoskeleton holster and the cartridge removed? its impossible, you end up having to stick it in your pocket or something. Not problem with the other holster they make |
those are actually pretty nice. I hate the departments that wear the holsters on their legs, it looks terrible. On the belt is the best way Best advise is take pictures of the problem and send it to Taser International and let them know whats going on so they can fix it. I am sure they would send you guys new ones if they were breaking. |
We've been using the blade-tech holsters for the past year and a half with no problems. |
| +1 on the Blade-Tech. I purchased mine directly from Blade-Tech before TASER bought the pattern. My only gripe is the Tek-Lok seems to be just a little on the thin side. By this I mean I would like it to fit a thicker belt. The best feature in my opinion of the Blade-tech design is the ability to cant the holster to fit your carry position. The supplied TASER holster lacks this and I don't think any of our officers use them for this reason alone. |
