im NOT LASD, but i know they carry berettas and smiths. not sure about ammo, but i think its standard FMJ 9mm. LAPD is in the same situation, except they can carry .45 smiths if buy'em, FMJ ammo as well. a couple weeks ago i saw an old timer LAPD sgt doing movie set security, he was still packing a revolver with a flap holster, the last revolver i seen on a cop was a LAPD DARE officer. |
