Well talk about a lousy week.  I've now missed a whole week's worth of work due to an on duty injuy  I recieved while making an arrest of a guy amped up on meth and alcohol.  I have to wait till Monday to see if I'm going to need surgery or not and right now the pain is horrible.  I hate taking medicine already and now they have me taking 4 pills every four hours.

I tell you what though I've neve really had to take pain meds before and this Ultracet isn't bad stuff.  Doesn't really take all the pain away but sure does make me not give a shit about the pain much

This is my first time using worker's comp.  Anyone else been out for a period of time? I hate missing work like this..

been on workers comp for some on duty incidents in the past..... prepare yourself for HELL when it comes time to get the bills paid.  They tried their hardest to fuck me with a broom handle.  If you stay on them they will eventually take care of it though.

Luckily I have never had any problems with Work Comp, the last injury was paid for through the other driver (MV accident) Luckily, I didn't have to miss work and I suspect they were willing to pay the physical therapy bills as long as they didn't have to pay for lost wages.

Hope all goes well, it sucks in pain and dealing with an injury.   To top it off then you have to fight with insurance companies on top of all of that.

I really hope I don't have to fight with insurance comapnies over this.  I went through the city insurance to go see about my injury.  Its nothing real serious but still could be expensive if I get stuck with the bill.  I talked to my chief the other day and he's behind me on this so I'm optimistic about it all.

Then again I'm pretty drugged up right now so anything sounds good right now

Something tells me I'm going to hate to see some of the things I've been posting on here when I sober up

Ah hell, take the pain meds.  They would not give them if you did not need them.

I was off for 6 months, keep on the workers comp people.  Trust me.

I was involved in a Police MC accident (totalled it) about 13 years ago that (thank the heavens) left me with only a fractured left elbow. I was told that it would take 3 months for me to recover with therapy. After a month on WC, I wanted to go back to work and did so still wearing a cast. I took deskwatch duties for about a month (at times initiating more reports than the officers on shift he
Reflecting on what I know now, I could've sued the government for improperly marking the road where I wrecked. Too late now, I was a rookie then.

Ok so now that vicadin cocktails have worn off I've gone back through some of my posts and can only smile and say "I can not be held accountable for my actions.  It was only the drugs talking."
