Figured some of you guys might know a thing or two about ballistic vest sizing.....

I originally ordered my vest July 23, 04.  Got it Sept 23, 04 - had to return it because it was way wrong.....  Just got it back today and I'm not sure if it going to work for me or not.  Looking in Galls catalog it appears that the sides should should just touch each other and lay flat on my rib cage with no gap between my rib cage and the vest.  There is a two finger width gap on each side between my rib cage and the vest.  I think this is going to drive my nuts.

The vest is not a Second Chance product.  I've been using a detectives vest while waiting on mine.

Thanks,
Brian

You are correct - the sides should not have a gap.  You should return the vest for proper sizing.   A two finger gap is inacceptable.
